Kasparian’s Paint Center is more than a paint store. We’re a family-owned business built on deep product knowledge, genuine customer relationships, and a commitment to stocking the commercial, residential, and industrial coatings that most retailers don’t carry. Since 1986, we’ve been the Central San Joaquin Valley’s trusted source for professional-grade paint, industrial maintenance coatings, and expert service—from Bakersfield to Modesto.

Our Story
Haig Kasparian began his career in the paint business in 1959 with PPG. For nearly three decades, he built deep expertise in coatings and developed the relationships that would become the foundation of a family business. In 1986, when PPG closed their factory-owned stores, Haig saw an opportunity and opened Kasparian’s Paint Center as an independently owned PPG store in Fresno. From day one, he was actively involved in the daily operations, building the business on product knowledge, honest service, and a genuine commitment to his customers.
Haig was a proud booster of the Fresno State Bulldogs and a passionate fan of the Boston Celtics. He would take on anyone who challenged him to a game of ping-pong—and they usually regretted it by the end of the match. Around the store, he was known simply as “The Chief.”
Sadly, our beloved Chief passed away on July 29, 2014, after a brief illness. He left behind a vision and a commitment to providing the best paint products, expertise, and customer service to every customer who walked through the door. That vision is exactly what we strive to carry forward every day.

In 2026, Kasparian’s Paint Center celebrates 40 years of serving the Central Valley. What started as one man’s vision in a single Fresno storefront has grown into the region’s most comprehensive source for commercial, industrial, and residential coatings. Our product selection, service area, and team have all expanded over four decades, but the founding values remain the same: know your products, take care of your customers, and never stop earning their trust.

Mike Kasparian
President & CEO
Mike Kasparian began working for his father, Haig, in 1988 as the young paint company was finding its footing in the Central Valley. For over 25 years, Mike worked alongside Haig, learning the business from the ground up—the products, the customers, and the commitment to service that defined Kasparian’s from the start.
When Haig passed in 2014, Mike succeeded his father as President and CEO. Today, he leads Kasparian’s Paint Center with the same vision and values his father established: provide the Central San Joaquin Valley with the best products, customer service, and expertise in the coatings industry. Under Mike’s leadership, the company has expanded its industrial coating capabilities, grown its service area, and deepened its partnerships with manufacturers like PPG and Benjamin Moore.
Mike and the Kasparian’s team are proud supporters of the Fresno State Bulldogs—continuing a tradition that started with Haig.
Doug Galley
General Manager
Doug Galley started in the paint business in 1987, working part-time as a delivery driver for a local paint company while attending college. He was hired by Haig Kasparian in 1994 as an outside sales representative and quickly proved himself as a trusted advisor to the company’s growing roster of commercial and industrial clients. Doug was promoted to General Manager in 1998.
With nearly four decades in the coatings industry, Doug provides the Central San Joaquin Valley with deep technical and application expertise across industrial, commercial, and architectural coating sales. His hands-on knowledge of product performance, substrate preparation, and application techniques makes him an invaluable resource for the contractors, facility managers, and industrial customers who rely on Kasparian’s for their most demanding projects.
